About Us

Sumatra is an island in western Indonesia that is fruitful, warm, and inhabits many unique creatures that are known only to that region.  The word Sumatra is Sanskrit (ancient Indian language) that means "Island of Gold".  Adding a twist of the definitions of Sumatra, we have combined both enabling constructs, which has created Sumatra blogtalkradio show.

Sumatra is unique, fruitful, warm, and inhabits a  wealth of knowledge. We extend to our listeners opportunities to become their own "Island of Gold" by creating venues for holistic (mind, body, and soul) growth through unique relationships  with our very selected blogtalkradio guests.

Sumatra's  blogtalkradio's concept designer, and  show host, Loretta "LO" Green-Williams, is a postcolonial anthropologist, and public relations specialist with a lifetime of community alliance building, and  over fifteen years of marketing and public relations experiences.

Her unique expertise in brand marketing, and project development, along with her community commitment, allow "LO" to conceptualize forward  thinking that enhances the show's creativity, which makes Sumatra informative and entertaining.  Through Sumatra, "LO" is able to open multiple realms of discussion, while supporting her primary objective, which is to "help a sista out."
